Staff & Client Gifts People Actually Use
What to give, how to brand it so people wear it, and how to make ordering for a whole team simple.
The short answer
- Pick things people already use every day: a good hoodie, a warm toque, a hat, a tumbler or a solid bag. Quality beats quantity.
- Keep the branding subtle. A small embroidered chest logo, a tonal print or a leather patch gets worn on weekends. A giant logo goes in a drawer.
- Sized items for staff, one-size items for clients. If you don't know everyone's size, toques, hats, drinkware and bags are safe picks.
- Start early. Holiday orders should be in by November 30 to arrive in time for Christmas, and stock on popular items gets limited later in the season.
Gift ideas that actually get used
These are the items we see people keep wearing and using long after the holidays.
Premium hoodies & crewnecks
A heavyweight hoodie with a small embroidered logo is the gift people reach for every weekend. Great for staff, and a strong choice for long-time clients.
Toques & beanies
An Alberta winter staple. One size fits most, so it is easy for clients too. A leather patch or a clean embroidered logo looks sharp.
Hats
Trucker, rope or classic dad hats with an embroidered or leather patch logo. Easy to give to a big group, and they get seen everywhere.
Quarter-zips & jackets
For key clients or leadership. A soft quarter-zip or jacket with a tonal logo feels like a real gift, not swag.
Drinkware
Insulated tumblers and bottles go to the office, the job site and the truck. One size fits all, so it works when you do not know sizes.
Bags
A solid tote, backpack or duffel gets used for years. Simple branding keeps it looking premium.
Quick comparison
A simple way to match the gift to who it is for. We will help you narrow it down.
| Gift | Best for | Sizes needed? | Branding that works |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hoodie / crewneck | Staff, crews, top clients | Yes | Small embroidered chest logo or tonal print |
| Toque | Everyone, big groups | No | Leather patch or embroidery |
| Hat | Crews, teams, clients | Mostly no | Embroidery or leather patch |
| Quarter-zip / jacket | Key clients, leadership | Yes | Tonal embroidery |
| Drinkware | Clients, office staff | No | Small logo, one colour |
| Bag | Clients, staff | No | Simple logo, matching colours |
Branding that people actually wear
The difference between a gift people love and one they never wear is usually the logo, not the product.
- Go smaller. A left-chest or small centre logo looks intentional. Full-front logos feel like a uniform.
- Try tonal. A logo a shade darker or lighter than the garment looks premium and still shows your brand.
- Use texture. Embroidery, puff embroidery and leather patches feel more like retail than a flat print.
- Pick colours people wear. Black, charcoal, navy, olive and heather grey get worn the most.
- Add a little extra. A short line inside the neck, a sleeve hit or a year ("Est." or "2026") makes it feel special without shouting.

Ordering for a whole team without the spreadsheet
The hardest part of staff gifts is usually collecting sizes. Instead of chasing everyone by email, we can build a private team order page. You share one link, each person picks their own size (and colour, if you offer options), and we produce everything together.
It works well for staff gifts, crew jackets and year-end gear, and it means nobody ends up with a hoodie that doesn't fit.
Timing: start early
Holiday orders should be in by November 30 to arrive in time for Christmas. Earlier is better: popular colours and sizes sell out later in the season, and starting early leaves time to review your mockup without rushing.
A simple plan: pick your items and logo placement in early November, approve the mockup, then collect sizes (or send your team order page link) right away.
Common questions
When should we order holiday gifts?
As early as you can. Orders should be in by November 30 to arrive in time for Christmas, and stock on popular items gets limited later in the season.
What is the minimum order?
Minimums start as low as 12 pieces on select products and vary by item and decoration method.
We do not know everyone's size. What should we do?
Choose one-size items like toques, hats, drinkware or bags, or use a team order page so each person picks their own size.
Can each person choose their own item or colour?
Yes. A team order page can offer a few options, and everyone picks what they want. We collect it all and produce it together.
Can you mix products in one order?
Yes. For example, hoodies for staff and toques for clients in the same order. We will help you plan it.
Can you decorate products we already have?
We don't decorate customer-supplied items. We source every product ourselves so we can stand behind the quality.

Tell us who they are for and roughly how many. We will suggest a few options and send a mockup.
